Kenner Ranch Hosts a Trail Horse Readiness Competition
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Julian, California, - Kenner Ranch - August 1, 2006Kathleen Kenner, goal achievement guide of the Goal Rush Riders, a self-guided group of leadership focused young horsemen and women in Julian, is hosting a Trail Horse Readiness Competition on the 200 acre Kenner Ranch located in Julian, CA on August 27, 2006.
This competition is to focus both horses and their owners on the training and safety strategies to make horseback riding on the Cuyumacas safe and enjoyable.
Says Kathleen, "trail riding on open trails where anything can happen can be either a beautiful or intimidating experience. The rider's level of enjoyment will almost certainly be a direct result of both the horse's confidence and its level of enjoyment of the ride-and great training and preparation make for confident horses. This competition is not a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place type of competition, but one designed to get its participants focused on the clues horses gives their riders when their horses fear level increases and their potential for reacting badly to some unforeseen event has reached unacceptable levels."
The Kenner Horse Ranch invites any horse owner with a passion for trail riding their horse in either the Cuyumacas or any new riding environment to come and join in on the fun. Their will be two accomplished horsemen and women supervising the event and offering constructive assessments and feedback for the participants. Says Kathleen, "this is event is not about establishing winners or losers. Rather, our hope is to help riders develop the safest riding conditions possible for riders of all ages."
